Crystal Bowersox’s birthday is coming, that’s going to be this 4th of August. Someone in Twitter asked this question to Crystal, “If you had super powers, what would they be?” and she answered “To provide food and jobs”. Sounds great! Foods can be everywhere, but I don’t know about those jobs if they are really coming! What’s your present for Crystal?

For an American Idol junkie like myself, the annual “Idols Live!” concert tour is typically a perfectly timed dessert soufflé; served a good month or two after the overwhelming smorgasbord of the preceding Idol season, it provides a chance to see how the top 10 finishers fare when they’re out from under the pressure of Simon Cowell’s critiques, that notoriously grueling weekly TV schedule, and the inscrutable voting whims of the public. Last night’s season 9 showcase from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, however, failed to follow that sweet script. To be fair, a few contestants achieved frothy new heights, but the bulk of the show had the distinctive whiff of a piece of cake that’s been lingering in the back of the fridge since late May.

Whether you were seated in the front row watching the sweat drip off Lee DeWyze, up on the lawn desperately waving “Marry Me” signs at Casey James, or melting under Michael Lynche’s sexy falsetto, everyone was united for one reason Sunday night at the Comcast Center: “American Idol 2010,” Season 9. Masses of “Idol” fanatics packed the venue, juggling cameras, programs and glow sticks. The top 10 finalists brought their own individual sounds and styles to the stage; some sets showed promise and others were, as Simon Cowell best puts it, “forgettable.”

Be it known that the tour didn’t go as smooth like what everybody thinks. There’s re-scheduling, and some cities were no longer included. It was said that ticket sales were slow and/or low. So the usual $63.58 to $83.10 were a thing of the past. Nowadays, for just $10 USD, you can check out American Idol Live! Singer Crystal Bowersox has been propelled into a position of fame and fortune after securing the runner-up spot on American Idol. And this 24-year-old, who before the reality singing competition was a cocktail waitress, isn’t about to squander away her recently earned money. The mom of son Tony, 17 months, told Redbook she’s instead using it to ensure a great education for her child. “The only thing I have splurged on is my son’s college fund,” Bowersox said. “He has a college fund, and that makes me happy. I love to say that: ‘My son has a college fund.’”

Crystal Bowersox, the runner-up of American Idol season 10, may have had a breakup with her lover just before the show finale, but the lady is so possessive about her former-beau that she won’t hear a word against him! Now, that’s what we call true love! In an interview for Redbook, the talented singer asked everyone to stop pointing fingers at her ex-boyfriend Tony. The single-mom Crystal, who couldn’t make it as a winner on theAmerican Idol latest season although she was the favorite among the fans as well as the judges throughout the season, wants to show the world that it was a mutual decision taken by both her and Tony and the world shouldn’t interfere.

Crystal Bowersox fans had interesting exchanges on Twitter when Crystal tweeted this: “Red book fact is wrong… I was 23 when I found out. a lot of the interview was cut. I hate that. Paraphrasing makes it sound different.” Fans swarmed in to offer their own thoughts and support. She tweeted back: “No not unhappy with the article. Just stating in general. I liked the article.
