Crystal Bowersox’s four-song set Sunday night at Huntington Center was a blur of emotion, jubilation, and unabashed love between the northwest Ohio native and about 6,800 of her best friends. A long, full-throated roar greeted the Elliston, Ohio, native when she strolled onto the stage for the American Idols Live! show wearing a T-shirt that said “Peace” and a million-watt grin.
Crystal Bowersox will be returning to her hometown this weekend, that’ll be in the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, Sunday. Kirk Baird wrote that “this is a BIG story” for Toledo. “A year ago Crystal was playing to half-empty bars, now she’s playing the arena. If this isn’t the kind of success story that Toledo needs right now, then find me another. I bet you can’t come close.” People around Toledo should get ready for MamaSox!
Alright, it wasn’t long enough when Anne posted that Crystal Bowersox is a big fan of Michael Franti. Now the American Idol 9 finalist is said to be joining the line up of Michael Franti’s 12th Annual Power to the Peaceful Festival in San Francisco this coming 11th of September 2010. This three day festival is free but draws a crowd of more than 50,000 people and gives the audience a variety of visual artists, international musicians, green vendors, and about 200 exhibitors. People get ready…
After writing about the contestants of American Idol season nine this year, I had an opportunity to sit down with several of the contestants during their tour stop in Sacramento, CA. Runner-up Crystal Bowersox and I talk water balloon fights, Ellen’s decision to leave Idol and how she stays in contact with her son while on tour.
The “American Idol” Season 9 tour came to Los Angeles Friday, Aug. 13 and we got ourselves a ticket. Not a hard thing to do, since the concert was nowhere near sold out. However, the Top 10 still gave an energetic show. At this point in the tour, when shows have already been canceled for lack of ticket sales, the enthusiasm is commendable. Much like the season itself, the concert featured much stronger female performances than male ones.
