Crystal Bowersox was hospitalized while she was competing in American Idol Season 9. It was one of those nights that American Idol switch the schedules, making the guys sing first Tuesday Night. However ‘though, that emergency didn’t weaken Crystal Bowersox. She returned on Wednesday Night to sing a CCR classic and blow both the audience and the judges away. Type 1 diabetes is in the news thanks to the very popular Crystal Bowersox’s amazing role (and amazing look) on the hit show Body of Proof. Crystal is 26. She has had Type 1 diabetes since she was about 6 years old. She had a tough time growing up with diabetes since it affected every aspect of her life. Many fans were very disappointed that Crystal came in second on American Idol. She was a single mom who sang in subway stations. These obstacles haven’t stopped her and neither has her diabetes. She wears an insulin pump because without one she would die.

Danny O’Donoghue of The Script posted a picture of his Edward Scissorhands costume and we must admit, he looks just like Johnny Depp’s character from Tim Burton’s 1990 movie. Joe Jonas was encouraging his followers to take candy from strangers and Crystal Bowersox was going to use her son’s treats in her mothering negotiations! Keri Hilson was keeping it low key this year while Hayley Williams of Paramore thought people look more like themselves on the spooky holiday.
You’ve seen her pour her soul out for her music. But on Tuesday’s Body of Proof on ABC, American Idol alum Crystal Bowersox will be taking on a whole different persona. She’s playing Zoe Brant, a former drug addict who gets pulled in to a murder investigation. “I’ve been around the world and I’ve seen some pretty dark things,” Bowersox tells The Hollywood Reporter about getting into her character. “And if I just really kind of just put myself in a position of desperation where I would need to resort to using drugs and the fact that the character was a mother as well.”
“American Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox is back on your TV screens – but this time, she’s guest-starring on “Body of Proof.” She tells Zap2it a little bit about her shady character. “My character’s name is Zoey Brant. She’s incarcerated for beating up her drug dealer, or whatever implied relationship she had with him,” says Bowersox. “She’s in work-release program at a horse therapy facility and there’s some kind of accident. She comes into question, but I can’t tell you whether she’s guilty or not. But it was a lot of fun.” We had no idea Crystal would be playing such a hardened character, so we wondered if it was a huge stretch for her, but Crystal tells us she has some things in common with Zoey.

Crystal Bowersox’s Farmer’s Daughter CD Review is currently up in TodayOnline.com and is been reviewed by Kevin Mathews. I think that the review is just too short and as a Crystal Bowersox fan, I think that the rating of 1/5 is new to me. I mean, I’ve seen (read?) a lot of reviews already and this recent one intrigues me, hmm.. well, everybody is entitled to an opinion. I just wish the review could at least be longer ‘though…
